Panic! At The Disco have become more pop than ever, with synthpop and dance elements evident in their latest work. And while the band’s songs prompt us to dance more and more, it’s strange that the religious references pop up from time to time.
After their first hit I Write Sins Not Tragedies and the more recent This Is Gospel, here comes Hallelujah! Of course, as frontman Brendon Urie has said, these spiritual references are not so much about believing in a specific religion, but rather echo a general responsibility of owning up to our sins.
Even more so, this track addresses Panic! At The Disco’s fans, who are cordially called ‘sinners’ by Urie! Either way, while Hallelujah is not exceptional, I really enjoyed its clip!
