Good Charlotte’s Youth Authority emerged during the summer to let us all know that the band are more alive than ever, even after a six-year hiatus. It only makes sense that the record’s theme revolves around family and career choices, while revisiting GC’s pop-punk roots.
Life Changes is right at the centre of the nostalgia, focusing on how we should all embrace change and keep on moving no matter what. The music video is even more sentimental, shot during Good Charlotte’s tour, documenting the band’s never-ending energy on and off the stage.
What amazes me every time, though, is how GC incorporate their loved ones into this dream that they’ve managed to bring to life; in the clip, we get to see the bandmates’ wives and kids, which is always fun and adorable to watch. (See Life Can’t Get Much Better and you’ll get a similar feel.)
