This week, Silverchair’s Freak Show album turned 20, and, even though it’s hard to process that so many years have passed since then, there’s no better way to honour the record than with this live performance.
While the band had yet to meet mainstream success back then – which would come with Neon Ballroom in 1999 – Freak Show definitely brought them more attention, with songs like Slave, Freak and The Door making them bigger in Australia and the US.
Slave especially highlights Daniel Johns’ unique voice, while showcasing the band’s talent.
